Unexpected Company Appetizer - Skinny Shrimp Dip

This fresh and low fat appetizer is easy to make and taste so light. Only cooked shrimp, low fat creme cheese, yogurt for a skinny and tasty dip.
It is a healthy addition to your family meals if you plan to incorporate fish to your diet.

Ingredients: (4 servings/3tbsp dip per serving)

½ pound chopped cooked shrimp
1 clove garlic, finely minced (I used roasted garlic)
½ tsp fresh or dried herbs (oregano, Pasley, chives or dill)
2 tbsp low fat crème cheese
2 tbsp low fat plain yogurt
1 tbsp lemon zest
1 to 2 fresh lemon jus
1 tsp Tabasco sauce
Sea salt and fresh ground black pepper, to taste
Shopped fresh chives, optional
Your favorite crackers, toasts or bread.

Directions:
Combine crème cheese and yogurt until smooth.
Add onion, garlic, lemon zest, jus and Tabasco. Mix well.
Add shrimp and season with oregano, salt and pepper to taste. Continue mixing until all ingredients are incorporated.  Add more crème cheese or yogurt if needed.
Refrigerate at least 1 hour and serve with chives. I used home made whole wheat bread wedges.
2 green onions, finely chopped
